The DA 15-T actuator from Volz Servos is a compact fly-by-wire unit engineered for direct installation on throttle valve shafts in combustion engines used within UAV and defense propulsion systems. By eliminating the need for mechanical linkages such as Bowden cables or rudder rods, it reduces both installation complexity and overall system weight. The actuator is fully programmable, allowing users to define idle and full throttle positions that are automatically mapped to corresponding feedback signals. This configuration enables straightforward replacement or recalibration without modifications to the engine control unit.

Constructed from saltwater-resistant, HART-coated aluminum, the DA 15-T achieves IP67 compliance for protection against dust and water. A brushless DC motor and contactless position detection system provide extended service life and resistance to vibration in elevated temperature environments. The actuator includes an integrated mounting bracket for direct flanging to the throttle valve shaft and a shielded aviation-grade connection cable, ensuring durability and performance across rigorous operational cycles in military and aerospace engine systems.
