5–9 V, 14 mm brushless actuator with aluminum housing & contactless sensing

The DA 14-N actuator from Volz Servos is developed for long-term reliability in uncrewed and defense-related aerial systems where low mass, compact design, and durability are essential. As the brushless successor to the DA 14, it combines an aluminum housing and steel gear train with a contactless position sensing mechanism that eliminates wear and improves vibration resistance. The actuator’s configuration enhances operational endurance, supporting service life in excess of 500 hours under continuous load.

Using a brushless DC motor, the DA 14-N removes electromagnetic interference associated with brushed units while delivering improved efficiency and longer operating life. Its HART-coated, saltwater-resistant aluminum body provides strong protection against corrosion and electromagnetic exposure. The unit is programmable through its standard PWM interface, with adjustable settings for motor current limits and overload protection. These features ensure reliable operation across demanding UAV and defense environments requiring high vibration tolerance and sustained precision performance.
