The DA 13 from Volz Servos is a compact actuator tailored for small unmanned aircraft mechanisms. A gearing set made entirely from steel limits wear in high-duty cycles, while integrated lug mounts enable quick horizontal or vertical installation. The unit is field-configurable via Volz’s programming tool, and analog position feedback is available when closed-loop control is required.
Two calibrated variants support differing mission needs: DA 13-05-32 for rapid intermittent moves (no-load speed approx. > 600°/s), and DA 13-05-60 for higher holding force (30 N cm). Core electricals are 5 VDC with 0.3 A rated and 0.9 A peak current, using a PWM control interface. Related models DA 14 and DA 15 retain the same internals in reinforced polymer or aluminum housings for greater EMI mitigation and structural stiffness.
