The Compact IFM Receiver is an ultra-compact radar signal processing system designed to capture emissions across the 2 to 18 GHz spectrum and generate Pulse Description Words (PDWs) in real time. Output parameters include frequency, amplitude, pulse width, time of arrival, and Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI), with data transmitted over a Gigabit Ethernet interface. An LVDS interface is included for configuration control and telemetry.
The system integrates Digital Frequency Discriminator (DFD) and Successive Detection Log Video Amplifier (SDLVA) blocks within a compact architecture, supported by a high-speed signal processor capable of producing more than two million PDWs per second. User-defined digital filtering enables suppression of undesired signals, while optional switch multiplexer filters provide additional rejection of interference.
Available in single or dual channel configurations, the receiver can be stacked to support multi-channel direction-finding capability. Additional configurations include superheterodyne receiver variants for extended frequency coverage, as well as DRFM-based options suited to radar simulation, electronic countermeasure (ECM), and communications intelligence (COMINT) applications.
Designed for low size, weight, and power requirements, the system supports integration across compact defense platforms where space and efficiency are critical. A user-friendly interface supports operational control, and compliance with MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F standards ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
