Image Sensor Modifications
Torrent Photonics provides image sensing and camera modification services that enable defense OEMs to re-engineer standard sensors into application-specific imaging components. These services include cover glass removal, microlens removal, micropatterned filter installation, fiber optic bonding, optics installation and camera hybridization.
Using its in-house lithography capabilities, Torrent can install and bond micropatterned filters close to the image plane. Filter customization options include pixel-level multispectral filters, RGB color gel filters, stripe filters and Bayer filters.
