Torrent Photonics’ harmonic separators are dichroic beamsplitters designed to reflect one wavelength while transmitting another. The front surface uses a beamsplitter coating, while the back surface is AR V-coated at the transmitted wavelength.
Torrent’s separators offer high reflectance from both S- and P-polarized light. The coatings are designed for a 45-degree angle of incidence, and each beamsplitter has a part number and an arrow etched on its edge to indicate the preferred propagation direction.
The AR V-coated rear surface helps reduce unwanted interference effects from light reflected by the optic’s front and back surfaces. Each beamsplitter contains a 30 arcmin wedge, causing light reflected from this rear surface to diverge.
Wavelength configurations include:
- 1064nm Reflected, 532nm Transmitted
- 532nm Reflected, 1064nm Transmitted
- 355nm Reflected, 532 and 1064nm Transmitted
- 266nm and 355nm Reflected, 532 and 1064nm Transmitted
