The GNSS Repeater carries satellite navigation signals into shielded hangars and other enclosed structures where normal reception is blocked by the building fabric. Aircraft avionics can therefore be tested with the platform indoors, reducing labor requirements and avoiding delays caused by moving the aircraft outside and reacquiring a position fix. An anti-jam configuration is available where the rebroadcast signal requires added protection.
SAGLAMTEK has provided GPS reception inside highly secured F-16 and F-4 hangars with the doors closed. The installation formed part of a project presented with the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Turkish Air Forces, demonstrating protected GNSS availability during enclosed maintenance, integration and readiness testing.
