T55-714C Turboshaft Engine
The 714C is a next-generation version of the battle-proven T55 engine family, which powers the U.S. Army’s Chinook heavy-lift helicopters and has accumulated more than 12 million flight hours around the globe. The upgraded 6000-horsepower engine provides a number of improvements over its predecessor, including:
- 20% more power
- Twice the operating range for high, hot and heavy missions with full payload
- 8% lower specific fuel consumption (SFC)
- 25% reduction in operational and support costs
- TBO of 3000 hours
Next-gen T55 engine
The 714C is available as a new production engine, or as an upgrade kit for conversion of older T55-714A engines, which can be easily fitted during an overhaul.
