Manned Aircraft Composite Components
Fibreworks manufactures custom composite components for manned military aircraft and other defense aviation programs, precision-engineered to meet demanding performance, durability, environmental and airworthiness requirements. Components can be produced from supplied drawings or developed with assistance from the company’s engineering team.
Capabilities include:
- Spars: Carbon- or glass-fiber components developed around the required geometry, stiffness, strength and weight.
- Skins: Monolithic or sandwich-panel structures incorporating Rohacell, PVC, honeycomb or Plascore cores.
- Assemblies: Integrated structures incorporating metallic, glass-fiber or phenolic inserts, with fully painted and finished configurations available.
Fibreworks combines composite design, finite element analysis and design-for-manufacture expertise with in-house tooling, machining, assembly and finishing. Aerospace quality capabilities include material and process verification, dimensional and finish control, and non-destructive testing support.
