Hawkeye EOSS-D is a compact, modular electro-optical surveillance and reconnaissance system for land platforms. It combines a mid-wave infrared imager, HD daylight camera and laser rangefinder on a stabilized mounting. An embedded DEFT tracker provides low-latency tracking through either camera, and the system can supply target position, heading and range to a coarse pointing system.
The payload is designed for straightforward replacement of sensors and the tracker, supporting in-field maintenance and future upgrades. Operators control the system through a touchscreen display with a choice of controller inputs. Ethernet connectivity supports integration with combat management systems and radar cueing, and window wipers are available as an option.
