PoEBlox is a compact 360W PoE switch designed for embedded systems requiring high-power Ethernet connectivity in size- and weight-constrained environments. Developed as a power delivery daughterboard for GigaBlox Nano, the unit creates an ultra-compact four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch with active PoE capability delivering up to 90W per port.
The board incorporates an active PSE controller, onboard power FETs, and high-power Ethernet connectivity to provide combined data and power distribution for embedded platforms and networked devices.
Supporting IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 standards, PoEBlox enables deployment of compliant PoE devices through automatic power negotiation on each connected port. The system only applies power after PoE negotiation is completed, helping protect connected hardware and ensuring compatibility with supported devices. Operating from a 48–60V supply for PoE functionality, the platform reduces cabling requirements and simplifies integration into compact embedded systems.
