VersaLogic Corporation has introduced the Raptor, an ultra-compact rugged embedded computer powered by high-performance 13th Generation Intel® processors.

The new system is engineered and tested to meet the rigorous demands of defense and edge applications, particularly for drones and uncrewed systems (UxVs). Measuring just 80 x 95 x 36 mm, the Raptor provides a high-performance solution for space-constrained environments that require reliable operation at high altitudes and across extreme temperature ranges.
The unit is built for survivability, rated for operation from -40° to +85°C and tested to MIL-STD-202H standards for shock and vibration. It is also tested for operation at altitudes up to 15,240 meters (50,000 feet).
Hardware configurations include a choice of 5-core or 10-core processors, allowing developers to balance power consumption against performance and cost requirements. The system supports up to 64 GB of soldered-down error-correcting memory and includes a TPM 2.0 security chip with AES-256 encryption.
Connectivity is managed through 2.5 Gb Ethernet, USB 4, serial ports, I2C, GPIO, and Mini DisplayPort outputs. For further customization, the architecture includes three M.2 expansion slots capable of supporting NVMe SSDs, AI accelerators, CAN bus, Ethernet, analog and digital I/O, and additional display interfaces.
To address the long-term needs of the industrial and defense sectors, the Raptor is designed for a typical production lifecycle of 10 or more years. This long-term availability is intended to help original equipment manufacturers avoid the costs associated with frequent hardware migrations. VersaLogic also offers Modified COTS options, including conformal coating, revision locks, and specialized labeling, testing, and screening.
Chris Miller, President of VersaLogic, commented, “The Raptor packs impressive processing power and onboard I/O into a footprint slightly larger than a deck of cards. It’s a game-changer for space-constrained applications. Supported by VersaLogic’s best-in-class 5-year warranty and engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and MIL-STD shock and vibration standards, it delivers the unwavering reliability our customers require in the field.”
Development samples of the Raptor are scheduled to become available beginning July 30, 2026.
