About Counter UAS Indo-Pacific 2026

Counter UAS Indo-Pacific 2026 will examine counter-UAS capability development, force protection, base security, maritime operations, and regional defense priorities across the Indo-Pacific. Taking place in Honolulu, the conference will bring together U.S., Asia-Pacific, and allied defense leaders, industry representatives, and policymakers involved in counter-UAS operations and procurement.

The two-day program will focus on the operational challenges posed by unmanned aerial systems and the development, integration, and deployment of C-UAS capabilities. Sessions will cover layered defense, airfield protection, interoperability, intelligence, rapid experimentation, procurement, systems architecture, and the protection of military forces and infrastructure.

When is Counter UAS Indo-Pacific 2026?

Counter UAS Indo-Pacific will take place on October 19–20, 2026.

Counter UAS Indo-Pacific 2026 Themes

The conference will examine defense requirements and capability priorities for countering UAS threats across the Indo-Pacific. A major focus will be deployable C-UAS for expeditionary operations and airfield force protection.

Counter UAS Indo-Pacific

Other topics will include coalition interoperability, intelligence and threat attribution, rapid trials and experimentation, procurement, future systems architecture, layered defense, information sharing, and capability development for emerging UAS threats.

The agenda will also cover the integration of C-UAS systems across military operations, including approaches to protecting forward forces, airbases, aircraft, maritime assets, and critical infrastructure.

What’s On at Counter UAS Indo-Pacific?

The conference program includes keynote presentations, operational and technical briefings, panel discussions, sponsor sessions, and networking periods across both days.

Day one will open with a US Army Pacific keynote examining the proliferation of drones in the Pacific and requirements for improving protection of Army and joint forces. Further sessions will address adaptive and layered counter-UAS approaches, PACAF airfield protection, deployment of the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS), and multinational coordination across the region.

The first day will also examine U.S.-Japan counter-UAS cooperation, operational lessons and rapid procurement, NATO C-UAS architecture and interoperability, and the use of joint trials and experimentation to accelerate capability development.

Day two will include perspectives from the Philippines, Australian Army, Singapore, and South Korea. Sessions will address national C-UAS capability development, intelligence and emerging threats, high-threat environments, multi-domain operations, and capability gaps across Southeast Asia.

Further discussions will cover future systems architecture, open architecture, digital innovation, procurement pathways, and the integration of advanced C-UAS capabilities into Indo-Pacific operations.

Coalition Interoperability

Representatives from the United States, Australia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and additional allied and regional partner nations will contribute perspectives on interoperability, information sharing, multinational coordination, and shared capability priorities.

The agenda includes discussion of joint and combined C-UAS operations, intelligence and lessons sharing, bilateral cooperation, standards, and the integration of national capabilities across allied and partner forces.

Counter-UAS Capability Development

Sessions will examine the development and fielding of deployable C-UAS capabilities, including the integration of sensors, effectors, and command-and-control systems.

The agenda will also cover rapid experimentation, operational trials, procurement, layered defense, and the development of systems intended to protect deployed forces, airfields, aircraft, maritime assets, and other defense infrastructure.

Procurement, Trials and Rapid Fielding

Counter UAS Indo-Pacific will include discussion of how counter-UAS capabilities can move from testing and experimentation into operational use.

Topics will include procurement bottlenecks, contracting timelines, interoperability, sustainment, spiral upgrades, clearer operational requirements, and the use of frontline feedback in testing and acquisition cycles.

Sessions will also examine how joint trials and rapid experimentation can support the development of deployable C-UAS solutions.

Intelligence and Emerging UAS Threats

A panel will examine the evolving UAS threat landscape across the Indo-Pacific and the role of intelligence, biometrics, and forensics in counter-UAS operations.

Discussion will cover threat attribution, decision-making for commanders, capability gaps, and how intelligence insights can support next-generation defeat capabilities.

Future Counter-UAS Systems

The agenda will address how C-UAS architectures may need to evolve in response to next-generation threats.

Topics include open architecture, digital innovation, system flexibility, resilience, multi-domain sensing, data fusion, and the integration of sensors, effectors, and C2. Sessions will also consider approaches to enabling faster capability upgrades as UAS threats change.

Law Enforcement Counter-UAS

A dedicated panel will consider counter-UAS operations from a law enforcement perspective. Topics will include legal authorities and safeguards for detection, tracking, and interdiction, as well as coordination between police, aviation, defense, and regulatory organizations.

The panel will also address responses to real-world incidents at major events, borders, and critical infrastructure, alongside the deployment of counter-UAS technologies in dense urban and maritime environments.

Speakers at Counter UAS Indo-Pacific 2026

Speakers will include representatives from Pacific Air Forces, the US Marine Corps, NATO Communications and Information Agency, British Army, Defence Science and Technology Agency Singapore, US Air Force Research Laboratory, Honolulu Police, FBI Counter UAS Operations Unit, US Pacific Command, and other military, government, technical, and security organizations.
