The AKM2G Series is the latest evolution of Kollmorgen’s industry-leading AKM motor family, offering significant torque increases in the same motor size and allowing defense OEMs to boost performance without changing the motor mounting or increasing system size.
The servo family offers a wide variety of options to suit specific application requirements, including shaft, mounting, connectors, feedback, holding brakes and thermal sensors, and IP54 or IP65 ratings. Low-voltage models are also available for portable, mobile and battery-powered equipment designs.
AKM2G servos are ideal for pairing with Kollmorgen’s SFD-M (Smart Feedback Device, Multi-Turn) position feedback solution, delivering unmatched precision and featuring 24-bit resolution and 16-bit tracking over 65,536 rotations. The energy-harvesting, battery-free design eliminates maintenance requirements, and single-cable technology simplifies installation and lowers costs.
