Greensea IQ is a leading developer of amphibious tracked robotic vehicles for demanding naval, military and defense missions.

Able to traverse both land and sea domains in highly challenging weather and sea state conditions, our autonomous mobile robots are ideal for day and night missions and can fulfil a wide range of amphibious and littoral warfare roles.

Amphibious tracked vehicle operations in harsh conditions

autonomous mobile robots

Our highly versatile Bayonet naval and military crawler robots provide access to subsea and littoral zones, as well as rivers and marshes, where other systems cannot reach or survive. Able to operate at depths down to 300 metres, all vehicles can be deployed in three different modes – fully autonomous, tethered, or via RF link buoy.

Thanks to their extremely low profile and high stability, Bayonet robotic vehicles can operate on the seafloor, across the continental shelf, and can even survive waves up to 6ft in height. With extremely low power consumption, they can provide a persistent static observation and reconnaissance capability for up to 100 days.

autonomous military robots

High-precision autonomous military robotics

Bayonet vehicles are built around the OPEN Software and Equipment Architecture (OPENSEA) marine robotics platform from Greensea Systems, which features a robust suite of autonomy and navigation capabilities and allows payloads, sensors and other equipment to be easily swapped and upgraded at any time.

The systems blend together single or dual RTK-capable GNSS receivers with advanced inertial navigation to provide precise navigation even when submerged. The built-in inclinometer and pressure sensor deliver high-accuracy depth measurements.

Amphibious Reconnaissance

Maximum versatility for superior mission performance

All Bayonet underwater robots can be provided with a choice of interchangeable sensor suites with easy installation in the field for different missions, and we can also perform integration of other custom and third party sensors for you. Vehicles can also be equipped with a towable non-metallic sled that provides additional space for payloads as well as AUV delivery systems and extra power sources, with a low EM signature that makes it highly suitable for magnetometers and other sensitive devices.

Possible integrations include:

  • Side scan and multibeam sonar
  • Acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCP)
  • High-resolution cameras
  • Magnetometers
  • Acoustic transponders
  • Communications relay equipment

All three Bayonet robotic vehicles are also available in a heavy-duty configuration with extra torque and power for enhanced durability and payload capacity.

Applications

EOD mine detection robot

Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA)
Our subsea crawlers can be equipped with a wide choice of specialist environmental, oceanographic, and hydrographic sensors for rapid characterization of the underwater environment, providing critical data such as surf observations, beach surveys and sound propagation measurements.

Force Protection
Our rugged and rapidly deployable vehicles can undertake a variety of critical defensive missions and make ideal clearance, EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) and mine detection robots.

Sustained Operations
Bayonet’s underwater tracked robots can be used for a range of different naval and military missions such as ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), search and rescue (SAR), communications relaying and amphibious reconnaissance.
