Performance Drone Works (PDW) has been awarded its first contract with the U.S. Air Force for its C100 multi-mission UAS, representing a major step in the company’s growth within the U.S. military.
The contract was awarded by the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing (AGOW), based at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. This wing commands four subordinate units that support various Air Force missions across a wide range of operational domains.
The C100 is PDW’s flagship Group 2 UAS, designed for agility, endurance, and tactical flexibility. It can achieve 74-minute flight times, a maximum speed of 40 mph, and an operational range of over 10 km. The system features multi-domain command and control and a modular architecture, allowing it to be used in various mission sets, including ISR, electronic warfare, and kinetic effects.
Ryan Gury, CEO and co-founder of PDW, commented, “The U.S. Air Force is seeking advanced, modular solutions to fill a critical gap in rapidly deployable, multi-mission aerial platforms and PDW’s C100 is the perfect system to deliver on this need. The 93rd AGOW’s operational diversity is a perfect match for the C100’s modular payload ecosystem and unmatched performance across a range of mission profiles.
“The C100’s industry-leading performance and payload modularity enables rapid adaptation and overmatch to evolving threats the Air Force faces across the globe. We’re proud to help bring that flexibility and scalability to the Air Force’s tactical edge.”
This contract with the Air Force follows other recent contract wins for PDW from the U.S. Army, including the Medium Range Reconnaissance (MRR) program and the Transformation in Contact Initiative.
