Teledyne FLIR OEM, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has introduced Prism Supervisor, an advanced software solution designed to enhance unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) by integrating autopilot systems with real-time, AI-driven analytics at the edge.
This powerful tool boosts mission safety, efficiency, and performance, advancing UAS capabilities across a wide range of applications.
Prism Supervisor provides mission planners with a flexible programming framework and software development kit (SDK) for creating complex, customized missions. The software adjusts the autopilot in real-time, generating mission segments and flight plans dynamically, reducing operator input and improving mission success. For example, during a search mission, a UAV guided by Prism Supervisor can autonomously navigate a designated area and alert the operator when a human or threat is detected.
The intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) simplifies mission planning, live tracking, and execution. Available on both desktop and mobile devices, it supports Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android. It also streams high-definition video, path visualization, and metadata while recording mission data. Furthermore, Prism Supervisor enables synchronized mission execution across multiple UAVs, fostering collaborative operations.

As part of Teledyne FLIR’s expanding Prism digital ecosystem, this software enhances UAS performance by incorporating advanced AI, object detection, tracking, and computational imaging on low-power processors, reducing development costs and optimizing mission outcomes.
Dan Walker, Vice President of Product Management at Teledyne FLIR, said, “From behavior and mission planning to dynamically adjusting in-flight operations, Prism Supervisor represents a significant advancement for drone autonomy through AI.
“It improves operational performance via single-click missions, opening up new possibilities for UAS operation from commercial to military use cases.”
