A joint field trial in Israel has successfully demonstrated that ParaZero Technologies‘ DropAir system can be used for the precision delivery of blood units.
The trial was a collaboration between the Israeli Ministry of Defense Directorate of Defense R&D (MAFAT), the Israeli Ministry of Health, and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which included the Medical Corps and Technology & Logistics Directorate (ATAL).
During the test, the DropAir system released blood transfusions from an altitude of 200 meters AGL. After being recovered, doctors at the Rambam Medical Center inspected the units and verified that they were undamaged and remained suitable for human transfusion.
ParaZero’s DropAir system is designed to autonomously and precisely deliver sensitive payloads from the air. According to ParaZero, this includes medical supplies, tactical equipment, and humanitarian aid.
Ariel Alon, CEO of ParaZero, stated, “This groundbreaking trial demonstrates the potential of DropAir as a life-saving capability in emergency scenarios. When forces in the field urgently require fresh blood Transfusions but cannot be reached by conventional means, we believe that DropAir could provide a precise, safe, and reliable delivery solution. We are proud to work alongside Israel’s defense and health authorities to validate this critical application and save lives in the future.”
