ASELSAN has finalized a direct sale agreement valued at $410 million with the Poland State Treasury – Armament Agency to provide advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.

The contract, signed on December 19, marks a significant milestone for the Turkish defense industry. Poland, a key NATO member with one of the Alliance’s largest standing armies, selected ASELSAN following a competitive tender process against international rivals. This decision highlights the technological maturity and operational competence of ASELSAN, which currently operates the largest electronic warfare facility in Europe.

During the signing ceremony, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz underlined the strategic importance of the agreement. “The agreement with ASELSAN had been under negotiation for a long period and its finalization followed immediately after my official visit to Türkiye,” he stated.

Kosiniak-Kamysz further highlighted the transformation of the Turkish defense sector, noting that over the past 20 years, Türkiye has evolved from importing 80 percent of its military equipment to sourcing only 20 percent from abroad. He described this as “an extraordinary development of the defense industry, particularly in terms of advanced capabilities in the air domain.”

For over 40 years, ASELSAN has specialized in electronic warfare technologies, managing the entire lifecycle of defense hardware and software, including algorithm creation and platform integration. As the primary electronic warfare supplier to the Turkish Armed Forces, the company produces a diverse portfolio ranging from radar and communication electronic support to counter-unmanned aerial systems and active protection systems.

The systems provided under this contract are designed to enhance battlefield dominance through high-technology electronic attack and support capabilities. This partnership is expected to bolster ASELSAN’s positioning across other European and NATO markets, serving as a reference for the company’s ability to deliver turnkey solutions that meet rigorous international standards.
