Micropol Fiberoptic has developed a new, purpose-built production facility in Halmstad, Sweden.
Located at a strategically advantageous site along the E6 highway, the new facility is designed to significantly enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities and operational capacity.
Spanning approximately 4,600 square meters, the new site will house advanced production lines, a cleanroom environment, expanded warehouse space, customer showrooms, offices, and shared staff facilities. The increased footprint and upgraded infrastructure will allow Micropol Fiberoptic to accommodate a larger workforce and introduce more workstations, enabling the company to undertake more complex and large-scale tactical communications projects.

The facility’s location along the E6 ensures seamless logistics and improved accessibility for personnel, partners, and clients, further reinforcing Micropol’s position as a key player in the defense communications sector.
Peter Ljungkvist, CEO of Micropol Fiberoptic, said, “Our current facility in Ã…led does not allow for further growth. The new facility will allow us to expand and diversify our business, enabling us to broaden our current offer of tactical communication. For example, the ability to install, repair and refurbish customers’ platforms will be increased.”
Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2025, with completion targeted for the end of 2026.
