Xeos by Satlink supplies the Onyx series of miniature GPS tracker modules, developed to support reliable tracking and monitoring of a wide range of military vehicles, equipment, and mobile assets.
Compact and resilient, the trackers transmit messages and positional data using Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) to provide low-latency global communication in challenging or remote environments.
The Onyx combines a small footprint with robust engineering and straightforward installation, making it suitable for deployment on ground platforms and other mission-critical systems. GPS coordinates and system messages are relayed through the Iridium satellite network, maintaining operational visibility where terrestrial connectivity is unavailable.
The standard Onyx model operates from an external 7–32 V power source via a Hirose 6-pin HR-30 connector. Additional versions address varied integration needs, including internal battery-powered and OEM configurations, as well as models offering higher ingress protection for harsh operating conditions.
All Onyx trackers employ Iridium 9603 SBD communications, supporting two-way command and control functionality. Each unit features user-configurable input and output ports for flexible integration with external systems and sensors, providing adaptable data management for field and vehicle-based operations.
The series is compatible with XeosOnline™, the company’s secure web-based monitoring platform. This system enables centralized oversight of deployed assets, allowing operators to review transmissions, track real-time positions, configure device settings, and manage operational parameters from a single interface.
By combining miniaturized construction, durable design, and continuous satellite connectivity, the Onyx series provides dependable situational awareness and asset management capabilities for defense and security applications operating in unpredictable or remote environments.
