The U.S. Army has fielded the EnforceAir2 counter-unmanned aerial system (CUAS), by D-Fend Solutions, during the multinational exercise Combined Resolve 25-02 at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany.
During the exercise, Soldiers from the 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division operated the EnforceAir2 Software-Defined Radio (SDR) Drone Detector in support of the Army’s Transforming in Contact (TIC) initiative, which evaluates electronic warfare, counter-UAS capabilities, and integration of new technologies with current force structures and tactics.
Mounted on a tripod for static defense, EnforceAir2 provided protection against hostile unmanned aerial systems by detecting, identifying, and taking control of adversary drones. The system enables operators to return drones to their point of origin, redirect their flight paths, or ground them safely, all without the use of kinetic force or disruptive jamming.
Multi-Domain Flexibility

EnforceAir2 offers modular deployment options tailored to diverse operational environments, including:
- Tactical Deployment – Delivers 360-degree protection for both urban and rural ground operations.
- Backpack Kit – A man-portable, covert system for mobile units operating in challenging terrain.
- Vehicular Kit – Provides on-the-move defense across all military vehicle classes, with no interference to GPS or communications systems.
RF-Cyber Takeover Technology
D-Fend Solutions is a leader in counter-drone technology, specializing in radio frequency (RF), cyber-based takeover systems that enable safe, controlled mitigation of hostile unmanned aerial systems. The company’s flagship system, EnforceAir, provides flexible deployment options for military, homeland security, and law enforcement customers worldwide.
At the core of EnforceAir2 is D-Fens Solutions’ RF-cyber takeover capability, which allows forces to safely neutralize unauthorized drones without collateral disruption to surrounding communications infrastructure.

Supporting the Army’s Modernization Goals
The Combined Resolve series of exercises brings together U.S. and allied forces to evaluate new concepts in electronic warfare and counter-UAS. The 3rd Infantry Division’s involvement in TIC builds on the innovation of light brigade combat teams and extends these capabilities to mechanized formations.
By deploying advanced counter-drone technologies such as EnforceAir2, the Army is strengthening its ability to operate effectively against evolving aerial threats while aligning emerging technologies with modern force structures.
