Rohde & Schwarz has been awarded a contract to deliver its R&S M3AR software defined, multiband-capable airborne radios for the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF)’s new Textron Aviation T-6C Texan II training aircraft, to be called the T-6TH within the RTAF.

The R&S M3AR multiband, multimode, multirole radios can be used for the reliable transmission of mission-critical information for jet or propeller aircraft, helicopters and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

“We have a long history of working with the RTAF, having committed ourselves to delivering secure communication solutions that meet national requirements,” explains Stefan Pleyer, Vice President Application Segment Avionics, Rohde & Schwarz.

“Here, local content and involvement of local industry are key. With our local partner, we bring commonality and fit for the RTAF’s secure communications. We know our customers and support them as a long-term, reliable partner. RTAF knows, we keep our promises.”
