ICEYE, a company focused on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite operations for high-fidelity Earth Observation, and SATIM, a provider of AI-based solutions for Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) on SAR imagery, are joining forces to integrate advanced AI-driven analytics with high-resolution SAR imagery.

Through this collaboration, the company’s are aiming to create next-generation solutions for rapid, precise target detection and classification across land, sea, and air domains.

By integrating ICEYE’s high-resolution satellite data with SATIM’s advanced AI analytics, the companies will introduce advanced products designed to deliver actionable intelligence with unmatched speed and reliability. Following an initial pilot phase, the first commercially available solutions are expected to launch in 2025.

ICEYE is believed to operate the world’s most extensive SAR satellite constellation, delivering persistent monitoring capabilities with 25cm resolution imaging—unaffected by weather, darkness, or other environmental factors. With a combination of high-resolution imagery, coverage areas reaching 840 km² per scene, and revisit intervals as short as one hour, ICEYE provides impressive situational awareness for defense and security applications. Since 2018, ICEYE is said to have successfully deployed 44 satellites and is on track to launch over 20 new satellites annually starting in 2025.

SATIM specializes in AI-powered ATR solutions that transform SAR data into actionable insights. Its algorithms enable near-instantaneous detection, classification, and identification of targets with exceptional accuracy, regardless of location or time of day. SATIM’s technology is data-agnostic, scalable, and capable of analyzing a wide range of objects in near real-time, making it a critical asset for defense and intelligence operations worldwide.

Rafal Modrzewski, CEO and Co-founder of ICEYE, said, “Our partnership with SATIM is an important step on our journey towards becoming the global source of truth. By combining our world-leading SAR imagery and capabilities with SATIM’s powerful AI-driven SAR image analytics, we will be able to serve our customers with easy, direct access to actionable intelligence and insights. Improving situational awareness with satellite-based intelligence will enable informed and rapid decision-making where it is needed the most.”

Jacek Strzelczyk, CEO and Co-founder of SATIM, added, ”At SATIM, we continue to set the standards in AI-powered SAR analytics, and our collaboration with ICEYE, a leading SAR imagery provider, is an important milestone in our pursuit of excellence. This partnership marks a significant step in our commitment to advancing space-based solutions that provide critical insights for those on Earth. As we continue to explore new ways to advance the field, this partnership represents an exciting step ahead, and we look forward to what lies ahead in this evolving landscape.”

This partnership is seen as a significant step forward in leveraging AI-powered SAR imagery for enhanced defense capabilities, ensuring real-time intelligence for mission-critical operations.
