STREIT Group has unveiled a new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle designed to support mounted infantry as a carrier and function as a ground support vehicle for dismounted troops.

Unveiled at IDEX 2023, the NISR 2 features adaptable technology for functional use in a variety of defense settings.

Designed to support a crew with a driver, commander, eight troops, and a gunner, the vehicle can be easily configured as a command-and-control vehicle, a medical evacuation platform, or a forward observation platform with superior off-road mobility. With a V-shaped monocoque armored hull design, the vehicle’s 10-man crew benefits from blast protection to STANAG 4569 Level.

“We’re intensely focused on saving lives with the latest in defense technology, and the NISR 2 is no exception,” said Ahmed Raza, Deputy Chairman of STREIT Group. “We’re confident this powerhouse vehicle will be a game changer for vulnerable troops facing on-the-ground challenges.”

NISR 2 is powered by a special 8.9 L turbocharged engine with 450 hp and 250 x 2 L of diesel fuel capacity. The 4 x 4 driving configuration features an automatic transmission, 360° Traversing turret, NBC overpressure system, and ballistic protection level upgrade to STANAG Level 4.

With a focus on personal protection, the NISR 2 also integrates smoke grenade launchers, a self-recovery winch, searchlights, and a fire suppression system. Passengers also benefit from a public address system, VHF and HF communication equipment, and satellite communication equipment. Customers can choose between 3 or 5-door configurations.
