Disasters Expo USA is making its return to California on September 5th and 6th 2024, this time at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The event is expected to attract thousands of attendees to LA, eager to experience the premier showcase of disaster management solutions. This return to the US follows the highly successful Miami edition and Disasters Expo Europe in Frankfurt.

Given California’s vulnerability to wildfires and seismic activity, the location is highly relevant for professionals seeking to enhance damage mitigation systems.

As the countdown begins for the September edition, it’s worth highlighting what attendees can expect:

Solution Showcases

The event will feature an extensive exhibition hall filled with trade show booths from various innovative businesses and showcases of advanced emergency response solutions. Booths will be occupied by a diverse range of exhibitors, from NGOs and government branches to repurposed event suppliers.

The variety of exhibitions will likely surprise attendees with the different ways technologies and solutions can be applied in emergency preparedness and disaster response. This space demonstrates the broad collaboration required in damage mitigation.

Expert Seminars & Panels

Disasters Expo USA is more than a trade show – it’s also an educational industry conference. Visitors can expect to gain insights from the world’s leading disaster management experts, including high-ranking government officials, members of global NGOs, and other relevant figures.

Previous speakers have included representatives from FEMA, NOAA, and NASA, covering topics from earthquake resilience to emergency water distribution. The theaters will also feature panel sessions, providing audience members with a glimpse into real-time collaboration at the highest level.

Live Demonstrations

Disaster management requires action, which is why the event also includes live demonstrations. These hands-on experiences allow attendees to immerse themselves in practical disaster management scenarios.

Past demonstrations have included CERT’s Emergency Response Live sessions, offering basic training in fire safety, disaster medical attention, and team organization. Another notable demonstration was the National Hurricane Center’s Interactive Hurricane Solution, providing an immersive experience into the eyes of storms.

Disaster Connection Opportunities

Sustainable security in disaster response and emergency management relies on collaboration. Disasters Expo USA facilitates this by bringing together thousands of industry professionals ready to collaborate.

Between meetings with showcasing businesses and sessions with a distinguished lineup of speakers, attendees will have ample opportunity to meet one another, share insights into their roles, and build lasting connections. Together, the goal is to create a safer world, even in the face of uncertain environmental times.
