The Teal 2 is an advanced U.S.-designed and made quadcopter sUAS that is featured on the U.S. Department of Defense DIU Blue UAS list. Optimized for short-range reconnaissance missions, the compact foldable drone is rucksack-portable and easy to deploy in highly challenging environments.
The platform is equipped with the advanced FLIR Hadron 640R EO/IR payload, combining a 64MP visible camera with a radiometric 640 x 512 thermal imager that is optimized for night-time operations. This cutting-edge payload enables users to easily identify threats, track targets and acquire critical intelligence and situational awareness even in complete darkness. It also provides a comprehensive set of thermal palettes, allowing you to optimize infrared imaging output to suit specific mission requirements. These include:
- White Hot – mostly-dark screen for preserving night vision
- Black Hot – displays body heat in a clear image with high detail
- Hottest – ideal for high-contrast environmental conditions, firefighting and leak detection
- Arctic – contrasts light colors against darker shading, making it easy to rapidly detect heat sources and slight temperature changes
- Ironbow – shows heat distribution and subtle details, ideal for low-contrast environments
Thanks to its modular design, the Teal 2 can be easily enhanced with upgrade packages, future-proofing the platform for evolving technologies and mission requirements. Payloads and propulsion systems can be quickly swapped out, making it easy to repair or reconfigure the UAS in the field. Tal 2 is fully encrypted via the AES-256 standard, ensuring that sensitive data does not fall into the wrong hands.
