Vulcan is a development system for military and aerospace designers and systems integrators looking to create VPX projects based on Intel processor boards. The system provides PCIe Gen 4 and 100GBASE-KR4 support and includes slots for four conduction-cooled and four air-cooled plug-in cards.

Vulcan is supplied with a built-in AC power supply, cooling fans, and an uncommitted backplane. Fabric connections can be made with the Meritec VPX3Plus Cable System.
