Teledyne FLIR Defense, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has unveiled its latest airborne surveillance solution, the UltraFORCE® 380-HDc, at the Farnborough International Air Show.

This advanced imaging system is designed to meet the needs of international customers, being free from International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restrictions.

The UltraFORCE® 380-HDc is a compact, low-profile surveillance system offering high-definition multi-spectral imaging capabilities. Key features include:

  • Full 1080p resolution across visual, thermal, low-light, and shortwave infrared (SWIR) cameras
  • Advanced laser rangefinder and pointer
  • Intelligent, automated operation for multi-target tracking
  • Low 14.6″ height profile and 30 kg (65 lbs) weight
  • Two- to four-times greater magnification than comparable systems

Kety Frachey, senior director for airborne systems-Europe at Teledyne FLIR Defense, stated: “The new UltraFORCE 380-HDc is a powerful long-range imaging system in a small package. With 380-HDc, we’ve brought together the most vital capabilities military and law enforcement users worldwide require to execute their missions in a smaller SWaP-C form.”

The system is optimized for various airborne missions, including reconnaissance, patrol operations, and search and rescue.

The UltraFORCE® 380-HDc’s advanced features allow for covert target identification and coordination with night vision equipment. Its automated tracking capabilities provide real-time information on multiple targets, including size, location, speed, and distance.

Designed with international customers in mind, the UltraFORCE® 380-HDc will be available globally starting in the fourth quarter of this year. Teledyne FLIR’s Surveillance Service Centre in West Malling, Kent, will provide full support, meeting UK and EU localized content requirements.

Additionally, the system can be configured with Teledyne FLIR’s 380X upgraded imaging capabilities, which include:

  • Multi-tile video management
  • Touchscreen interface
  • De-scintillation filter for improved visibility in challenging atmospheric conditions

The UltraFORCE® 380-HDc is on display at the Farnborough International Air Show, where visitors can see it alongside other cutting-edge defense technology solutions from Teledyne FLIR.
