Military Command and Control C2
Discover cutting-edge solutions from 5 leading global suppliers
L3Harris Technologies has secured delivery orders totaling $84 million from the U.S. Army to supply Next Generation Command and Control manpack Falcon systems.
Under this latest agreement, the defense technology provider will deliver AN/PRC-158C systems, which incorporate high-throughput Mobile Ad hoc NETworks and highly resilient waveforms designed to ensure reliable communication in all operating conditions. This marks the second NGC2 award for the company, following an initial $24 million order received in October.
The manpack systems will play a key role in the NGC2 program’s transport layer, which functions as a collection of networks, pathways, and data-delivery systems that transmit information between sensors, shooters, and command elements. To enable these capabilities, the communication systems support multi-transport gateway requirements including routing, air-to-ground networking, in-line encryption, and Sensitive But Unclassified – Encrypted waveforms.
“Our Falcon Advanced Data Node gateways are battle-tested, fielded around the world and, with their software-defined architectures, ready for the constantly evolving challenges and threats facing soldiers,” said Chris Aebli, President, Mission Critical Communications, Communications & Spectrum Dominance, L3Harris. “We continue to invest and innovate both our system capabilities and production capacities to meet our global customers’ needs with a commercial business model that perfectly aligns with the U.S. Department of War’s commercial-first acquisition approach.”
As a defense technology provider focused on national security, L3Harris aims to deliver end-to-end solutions that connect space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains to support mission-critical tactical operations worldwide.
