Discover cutting-edge solutions from 4 leading global suppliers
INVISIO has purchased UK company Ultra PCS’s UltraLYNX™ product line, enabling a seamless integration of devices from different manufacturers, creating an ecosystem within the modern soldier system.
As part of the USD 3.5 million transaction, several Ultra PCS employees will join INVISIO.
UltraLYNX is specifically designed to interface with all soldier-worn peripherals. It covers the conventional soldier setup (radio, GPS, EUD, battery) and integrates with a wide range of additional devices including cameras, physiological monitoring, GPS denied tracking, blast detection, gunshot detection and environmental sensors that all work together to contribute to understanding the context of the wearer sit-rep.
UltraLYNX software-defined hubs create an ecosystem that seamlessly integrates devices from various suppliers to deliver audio, data connectivity, and power. This reduces cognitive and physical burden on users by enabling interoperability between devices including those that were not originally designed to work together.
This acquisition is expected to accelerate INVISIO’s ability to deliver fully integrated tactical body-worn systems with the capability to handle audio, data and power, along with advanced computing power. It will also support INVISIO in providing a seamless and robust plug-and-play communications system that adheres to the evolving needs of modern military and defense operations.
The UltraLYNX product will be incorporated into the INVISIO ecosystem and will facilitate the development of future innovative products.
Modern soldier systems rely on diverse devices—radios, sights, navigation tools, and sensors—sourced from multiple suppliers with differing standards. It is necessary for these devices to share data, power and audio within a unified ecosystem.
UltraLYNX simplifies integration by harmonizing protocols, managing power, and enabling seamless interoperability between devices with different standards. The result being that soldiers can focus on their missions without being burdened by incompatible equipment and complex setup requirements.
Lars Højgård Hansen, INVISIO CEO, commented, “This acquisition aligns with our strategic vision to expand and enhance our product offerings and provide our customers with cutting-edge solutions that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The UltraLYNX product line will add significant capabilities to our already market leading soldier systems.
“The acquisition strengthens INVISIO’s position in our markets, which are undergoing a digital transformation. We expect, after the initial integration, that the product line will contribute significantly to INVISIOs revenues in 2026 and onwards.”
