DRU-H-R Dynamic Reference Unit-Hybrid Replacement

The EMCORE Dynamic Reference Unit-Hybrid Replacement (DRU-H-R) provides mission-critical precision pointing and location for warfighters. In collaboration with the U.S. Army, EMCORE’s precision navigation systems deliver vital data for survey, pointing, and positioning, essential for executing precise, indirect mass fires and counter-fire operations.

Advanced Capabilities and Configurations

The DRU-H-R is designed with growth capacity to incorporate an embedded Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS with M-code capability, ensuring enhanced security and reliability. Additionally, it can be configured for versatile applications, including unmanned systems, rotational platforms, and shipboard environments.

Combat-Proven Precision

Replacing the DRU-H on Paladin and Firefinder systems, the DRU-H-R provides accurate vehicle position and attitude data critical for supporting U.S. ground forces in all combat phases. This advanced system features high-accuracy, combat-proven inertial sensors currently deployed on the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), and Improved Position and Azimuth Determining System (IPADS).

Future-Ready Design

Engineered for sustainability and affordability, the DRU-H-R ensures long-term operational effectiveness, meeting the evolving needs of the Army of tomorrow. This advanced precision navigation system guarantees that our forces remain equipped with the best technology to maintain superiority on the battlefield.
