Accelerate Defense Modernization through Strategic Sourcing
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
The 2025 Taipei International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition (TADTE), organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), has successfully concluded its largest event to date.
The event gathered 490 exhibitors from 15 countries, utilized 1,500 booths. Its exhibition scale grew by more than 70 percent compared to the previous edition. Over 36,000 visitors attended during the three-day event, nearly double the previous edition, with the top five delegations coming from the United States, Japan, Singapore, India, and South Korea.
The exhibition provided a key platform for the aerospace and defense industries, highlighting Taiwan’s role in defense autonomy, global supply chain restructuring, and international cooperation. This year’s record attendance highlighted the international community’s growing interest in Taiwan’s technological capabilities and production capacity, showcasing the industry’s evolution from independent R&D to global integration.
Specialized Technology Pavilions
TADTE 2025 featured five specialized pavilions, attracting large numbers of professionals and the public. The National Defense Pavilion, themed “Resilient Defense, Strengthening National Power,” integrated land, sea, and air forces alongside military R&D units for the first time. It showcased 51 new equipment items and interactive experiences, enabling attendees to gain close-up insights into defense technology and enhance awareness.
The Taiwan Space Pavilion, jointly presented by 39 industry-academia-research entities, highlighted the complete satellite design, communication, and application chain. It featured the latest developments of the Formosat-8 satellite, demonstrating Taiwan’s capabilities in space system integration.
The Unmanned Vehicle Industry Cluster, led by the Asia Innovation Center, featured 21 companies presenting diverse applications and proprietary technologies. The Aerospace Industry Pavilion, organized by the Aerospace Industry Association and spearheaded by Han Hsiang Aerospace, publicly unveiled its counter-UAV system and specialized engines for the first time.
The Defense Industry Development Association brought together 23 manufacturers spanning aerospace, shipbuilding, cybersecurity, and logistics, comprehensively presenting achievements in defense self-reliance.

International Forums
This year’s two high-profile international forums attracted strong participation from domestic and international representatives across industry, government, academia, and research.
The “International Space Forum” focused on communication resilience and space security, with experts from the U.S., Japan, and other countries sharing insights on satellite imagery, cybersecurity protection, and cross-border cooperation. More than 120 attendees participated.
The “International Unmanned Systems Industry Forum” brought together leaders from AUVSI and professional organizations in the U.S., Japan, Poland, and the Czech Republic to analyze global drone market trends and industrial policies. It drew 180 professionals and showcased the growing potential of unmanned technology in both defense and civilian applications.
Both forums provided platforms for exchanging perspectives, strengthening Taiwan’s international connections and cooperation in space and unmanned vehicle sectors.
The exhibition also featured multiple cross-border collaborations, including a cooperation agreement signed between Han Hsiang Aerospace and U.S.-based Shield AI to jointly develop high-performance drones that integrate AI flight systems with Taiwan’s manufacturing capabilities.

Government Support
The exhibition received significant government support, showcasing advanced systems and specialized engines for the first time. The National Defense Industry Development Association gathered 23 companies spanning aerospace, shipbuilding, cybersecurity, and logistics.
The event also drew high-level government attention, with President Lai Ching-te and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim both in attendance. Procurement meetings reportedly facilitated negotiations between buyers from 14 countries, including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Canada, generating more than US$200 million in business opportunities.
A Global Platform
TADTE 2025 organizers stated that the event not only showcased Taiwan’s capabilities in defense self-reliance, military-civilian collaboration, and resilient supply chains, but also served as an open platform for international exchange, creating new opportunities and expanding collaborative horizons. The next edition will be held in 2027.
