Accelerate Defense Modernization through Strategic Sourcing
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliers
The Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) has opened on September 18 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, gathering exhibitors from 15 countries and professional buyers from more than 60 nations.
Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the three-day event has become a strategic hub for showcasing aerospace, defense, and unmanned technologies, underlining Taiwan’s expanding role in the global supply chain.
Countries taking part span Europe, Asia, and North America, with the United States, France, India, Japan, and Canada among them. National pavilions will be presented by the Czech Republic, the United States, Germany, and Poland. The strong international turnout underscores growing demand for innovation in areas such as low-Earth orbit satellites, AI-enabled defense systems, and resilient supply chains, fields where Taiwan is strengthening its footprint.
One of the headline highlights at TADTE 2025 will be the debut of Taiwan’s first Indigenous Defense Submarine “Hai Kun”, designed and built domestically, marking a milestone in the nation’s indigenous defense development. Another major showcase is the “FORMOSAT-8A” optical remote-sensing satellite constellation, presented at the Taiwan Space Pavilion ahead of its scheduled launch in October, an advance that signals Taiwan’s ambitions in the rapidly expanding space economy.
Alongside the exhibition floor, TADTE 2025 is hosting two high-level international forums. The opening International Space Forum on September 18 focused on communication resilience and satellite imagery security. It brought together global experts, including Mike Klipstein, Senior Advisor at League Advisors, and Dr. Hirokazu Hokazono, Director of Japan’s Institute for Space and Security, to examine how space technologies are reshaping national security and strategic stability.
Attention now turns to the International Drone Forum on September 19, which will feature keynote speakers such as Pavel Diviš of the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber, Robert Fintak of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems, and Michael Robbins, President & CEO of AUVSI. With perspectives from Europe, the U.S., and Japan, the forum is expected to spotlight the next wave of unmanned systems innovation and international cooperation.

Throughout the event, participating companies will unveil new systems and technologies ranging from advanced communications and propulsion to high-performance batteries and AI applications. Guided tours and KOL workshop will add further context, giving attendees a comprehensive view of both the innovations on display and the strategic issues shaping the industry.
More than just an exhibition, TADTE 2025 positions Taipei at the center of global aerospace and defense dialogue, a stage where innovation meets strategy, and where the future of the industry comes into focus.
