Insitu, a Boeing company, has been chosen to provide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) support services to the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and other government customers.

The agreement utilizes a Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated (COCO) model, where Insitu will compete for task orders using both the ScanEagle and Integrator unmanned aerial systems (UAS). These platforms are designed to offer diverse operational profiles, providing flexibility in range and endurance for maritime and land-based missions. Both systems feature FLARES vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) technology and extended-range SATCOM capabilities, allowing for a reduced operational footprint without sacrificing performance.

We have been providing ISR services to the USN since 2005 and the USMC since 2004 and are honored to be selected to bring our enhanced versions of ScanEagle and Integrator with updated autonomy and resilience capabilities to bear,” said Diane Rose, Insitu CEO. “The choice between two platforms offers our important USG customers the ultimate Mission flexibility. We’ve incorporated our 20+ years’ experience working with the Navy and Marines into the feature sets on our UAS to ensure they offer the most robust maritime operational capability for their unique ISR needs.

The Integrator platform offers a maximum mission endurance of 27.5 hours. It is capable of traveling up to 2,000 nautical miles point-to-point or maintaining a 13-hour station time at a range of 500 nautical miles. The ScanEagle platform provides persistent ISR for over 18 hours. These systems have a significant operational history, having been deployed across more than 45 ship classes and various land sites on six continents.

Operations and maintenance will be handled by Insitu’s field services representatives (FSRs), a team with experience deploying alongside the US Navy, US Coast Guard, and US Marine Corps, as well as over 35 international militaries.

Our FSR’s are proud to support the USG and look forward to continuing their deployments alongside our brave Sailors and Marines as they work tirelessly to keep America and her allies safe,” added Rose.
